Did You Know?
A well-balanced garage door is essential!
If your door is difficult to open or seems unbalanced, do not touch the springs, bottom hinges, or lifting cables. These parts are under high tension and can be dangerous!

6 Tips for Proper Garage Door Maintenance:
The change of seasons is the ideal time to maintain your garage door, whether it’s in spring to erase the traces of winter or before the arrival of cold weather to prevent breakdowns.

Lubricate the hinges and rollers
Apply lubricant to the hinges (the parts that pivot) so they don't stick. Also apply lubricant to the areas where the rollers fit into the hinges.

Lubricate the rails
To keep your door sliding smoothly, without noise or snagging, apply hardware lubricant to the inside of the tracks where the rollers move.

Lubricate the spring(s)
Place a piece of cardboard behind the spring to prevent splashing, and spray the lubricant over its entire surface. This reduces friction and extends its lifespan.

Wash and dry the door
Clean your door with warm water and mild soap, avoiding harsh detergents. Dry with a microfiber towel or let it air dry.

Wash & lubricate the weatherstripping
Clean and dry the weatherstripping, then apply a silicone-based lubricant (it's important to avoid petroleum-based lubricants). Cover all surfaces to keep the PVC flexible and prevent air infiltration.

Apply the wax to the door
Apply Garex wax to protect paintwork, repel dirt, and prevent UV fading. Spray from a distance of 10-15 cm, then buff with a soft cloth.

– Those who want to avoid an imminent breakdown.
– A door that has undergone extreme temperature variations.
Preventive Maintenance VS Tune-up: What's the Difference?
Preventive maintenance is like an annual medical check-up: we detect and prevent problems.
A tune-up is an adjustment when you start to feel that something’s not right.
Not sure which one to choose? Contact us and we’ll assess your needs together!
Complete Inspection of Your Garage Door: What's Included?
Springs and cables: Are they in good condition or are they starting to wear out?
Tracks and rollers: Checking alignment, wear, and lubrication.
Motor and sensors: Are they working correctly? Are there any unusual noises?
Door balance: A poorly balanced door unnecessarily strains the motor and wears out parts prematurely.
